Karl Phillips and the Midnight Ramblers launch EP in London next Wednesday

6 Music has been on their latest single, and earlier this year they were featured on BBC Introducing. Press to one side though, their irreverent lyrics, and on stage dominance alone has been building a steady reputation for some time already, as was proved when they sold out Camden Barfly the other week.

So Karl Phillips and the Midnight Ramblers might not be the most likely name for an act that straddles grime, dubstep, drum n bass, and punk, but still that’s what they make- a sound that’s as powerful live as all that might suggest. The eponymous debut album arrived last year, and now they’re round to a brand new EP- Dangerous– which arrives on Monday and includes a collaboration with vocalist Sabrina Altan. We’ve embedded the video below, and if that might appeal there’s a date on Wednesday, December 7th at London’s 02 Academy 2 in Islington that could also be worth checking out- tickets are on the end of this link, priced at a more than reasonable £6.
