Lex Newton returns to a label on which he has done some great work in the past, and a label that was named ‘3rd Best Label in Belgium at Red Bull’s Elektropedia Awards last year. His two magic originals come with a wise selection of remixes from OD Math, Da Fat Love and Super Drums.
The first original Let Me Inn Your Heart is a classy house affair that will surely bring all the girls to the yard. Poised chords, rueful pads and catchy vocals all make for sunny listening. Of the remixes its SuperDrums, a regular on this label, who turns in the best version, subtly tweaking the original so it does plenty of deft dancefloor damage. The next original is Take On Me which is even more heartfelt and emotive. The girly sounding vocal really gets at your soul and the bassline just finishes off things nicely once it drops proper. The one remix of this slows down the tempo, increases the dub swagger and allows the originals vocal to do its business.
