KREATURE – YOU CAN EP

London by way of Leeds agency Kumasi here steps out into the label market for the first time. The act chosen to represent the young agency is Kreature, a fast rising nu disco producer already with plenty of hits behind him. His EP opens with ‘What You Want’, a bobbling deep disco come deep house track with pristine production and infectious handclaps throughout.
The other Original is ‘You Can’ which is even more cosmic and starry. The chords here echo off into the distance as sparkling melodies shine like distant stars. The bassline is lush and lazy, sweeping you up without you really realising it. The first remix comes form Kolombo, a deep house producer drawing plenty of attention on himself following well received EPs on Kompakt, Solomun’s 2DIY4 and Ghostly International. His version is a little grittier and harder than the original whilst Markas & Mindaugelis stuff acid twitches and swathes of echo into their shiny remix, before S.K.A.M. pumps the disco vibe to the max, closing out a classy but surely potent dancefloor focussed EP.
