You may remember how last year we began banging on about this. Well, as if to clarify exactly how fast time flies when you’re having fun (and working on endless deadlines), the entries have all been received, and, more importantly, the best efforts rewarded.
Illuismiras grabbed the overall prize in the contest to make Royksopp a video, which was a tasty $3,000. The clip in question is soundtracked by The Alcoholic, and we’ve embedded it below for you to check out. On top of that, the runners up each bagged $1,000 each, with entrants from South Korea, the United States, the U.K., Hungary and Columbia all managing to take home a share of the pot A selection of the best work will also be screened at a special BUG event at the BFI Southbank next Friday, tickets for which have sold out- not least because it’s followed by a Royksopp DJ set.
We’ll be offering these budding filmmakers a little space of their own right here over the next week, so watch this space for every second place short from the aforementioned nations.
