Sivesgaard – In the Night Remixes [Eklektisch]
Edu Imbernon is now one of the most prominent Spanish DJs of his time, resident at Space Ibiza and general trail blazer, he is now also making his label Eklektisch into more and more of a force. Here he releases three solid remixes of Silvesgaard’s In the Night.
The standout comes from Hot Since 82 who finishes off a great year with a dumpy deep house track that lazily rolls its way through some rock liked basslines and starry melody work. The production is bright and hook, yet subtle and sneaky at the same time. Blond: Ish, the fast rising female pair from Montreal, keep the original’s distant vocal and colour it with rising melodic blobs and sharp edged percussion. The final shout goes to Viadrana who lays down some fat assed basslines in his remix, working them around the shadowy vocals and leaving you a little uneasy in the process.
