Croatia would certainly seem like the festival-destination of choice in 2012, particularly the beautiful coastal area of Tisno which lies on the Dalmatian coastline between Split and Zadar. Soundwave boasts four days of sun, sea and music, including trademark boat and beach parties as well as a stellar lineup of everything from funk and hip hop to house music and more.
Heading up the lineup is New York’s funky hip hop trio De Le Soul, the inimitable singer-songwriter/DJ Fink, hip hop turntablist DJ Yoda, electro-duo Plaid and electronic producer and vocalist Ghostpoet – a mixture of acts that have as much wisdom and experience as they do fresh, feel-good tunes.
So the headliners are an eclectic mix to say the least, and the rest of the bill at Soundwave is just as varied. Everything from the electronic-soul sound of Belleruche to cinematic and soaring sound of Hidden Orchestra will be joining them for what promises to be a chilled out musical retreat set against the beauty of the Croatian backdrop. Boutique camping and sublime sunsets will also make for an unforgettable time at Soundwave’s 4th outing.
