Extreme Winter Sports Returns to London: Relentless Freeze Festival 2010

Between the 29th and 31st October Halloween shouldn’t be the only thing on your calendar. Instead the Relentless Freeze Festival should take pride of place as it returns to Battersea bigger and better than ever before for 2010.

With an impressive lineup of bands, DJs and MCs to match the head-spinning winter sports to be showcased at the festival, the Relentless Freeze Festival promises to be a uniquely alternative way to spend the Halloween weekend.

Now in its third year the former ‘London Freeze’ event will see its biggest year yet with in excess of 20,000 likely to attend the three day music and sports festival at Battersea Power Station.

Over 13,000 people watching the Big Air Competition Last Year

The world’s top snowboarders and skiers will be taking part fresh from the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in events ranging from the international Big Air competition for skierts, the LG Big Air competition for snowboarders and the FIS-sanctioned World Cup Ski Freestyle event.

The LG Big Air World Cup will see internationally renowned snowboarders battle it out to post the biggest air from the 32m high, 100m long jump. Over 500 tonnes of real snow will be imported into the heart of the capitol to make this year’s Freeze Festival a crucial part of the FIS-sanctioned Winter Sports World Cup.

Tickets are priced at £36 for a day pass, £86 for a season pass (3 days), with a child’s day ticket at £15 and a child’s season ticket at £35.   Head straight from the office to the slope with the Friday ‘After Work Ticket’ offering access to the Freeze Festival for only £20 from 6.30pm. Festival goers can catch the Best of Britain ski and board finals as well as top acts across all three stages. Only available on Friday.
