South West Four Weekender – The unmissable dance music festival of the year.

The sublime inner-city festival Get Loaded in the Park returns in 2010 in a brand spanking new guise, The South West Four Weekender. The festival will return to Clapham Common this year with an unbeatable plethora of the world’s top dance, dubstep and house acts, attracting dance lovers from across Europe.

On the bank holiday weekend 28th and 29th August thousands of dance music fans will descend upon London’s fresh-faced dance music festival to enjoy music from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and many more. As dance music lineups go there hasn’t been a better one in the UK for a long time and party purists will be pleased to see that the festival has pulled out all the stops to make its first year go off with a bang.

The festival promises ‘double the stages, double the crowds and treble the fun’ as it aims to become the leading London dance music event of the year. With a recession-busting aim to bring dance music lovers the best in entertainment, food and drink for an affordable price, South West Four Weekender is set to be a breakthrough festival success. With six years experience under its belt with Get Loaded in the Park too, there’s no shortage of expertise and experience on hand to set the festival off swimmingly.

Saturday 28th August

‘SW4’ is a two-day music festival boasting a phenomenal dance lineup on both the Saturday and Sunday and this year unquestionably rivals any of the UK’s dance festivals. The Kiss Main Stage will see the Dutch chart-topping trance producer Armin Van Buuren headline his only show in London of 2010. As officially voted the most popular DJ on the planet for the past three years (DJ Magazine Top 100) and A State Of Trance continuing to set the standard as the world’s most popular radio show Armin Van Buuren brings with him a golden guarantee of an unforgettable experience. London’s dance fanatics will get to experience the quality of Armin Van Buuren’s weekly summer residency at Amnesia Ibiza right here in the capital.

A host of fantastic support acts on the main stage will be on hand to keep the crowd motivated throughout the day with resident Pacha Ibiza DJ Erick Morillo, Sasha, voice of dance Radio 1 dance expertise Pete Tong, Laidback Luke, Alex Metric, Chris Lake and Timo Garcia all billed to perform.

The second stage, sponsored by the dance music bible DJ Magazine in association with DataTransmission.co.uk will feature more of the world’s most acclaimed dance artists including John Digweed, Josh Wink, Mutant Clan (featuring Timo Mass and Santos), Chistian Smith, Guy J and the weekend’s very special guest Joris Voorn.

The TimeOut Arena, in association with Trackitdown.net, will offer yet more acts to make the festivalgoers’ decision even tougher. Dance music giant Paul Oakenfold will headline the stage with Sander Van Doorn and Marco V B2B play a world exclusive support set. Radio 1’s Judge Jules will be on hand to support alongside Gareth Emery, Guiseppe Ottaviani and Jerome Isma-ae.

And finally, offering a fourth alternative stage of outstanding dance music on the Saturday the Toolroom Knights arena in association with Tilllate.com will host Mark Knight, Dirty South, Funkadenga, Dave Spoon, Connected Allstars and yet another special guest appearance from Joachim Garraud.

Sunday 29th August

The second day of South West Four will welcome yet more globe-trotting dance DJ’s in the form of the formidable Fatboy Slim headlining with the likes of Salt ‘n’ Pepa, Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out, Carl Cox, Skream, Benga and Andy C, to name just a few, supporting.

The main stage Sunday lineup is an incredibly eclectic mish-mash of the best dance and hip-hop talent from across three decades that will be sure to inject a mixture of nostalgia and euphoria into the evening.

Fatboy Slim

Headlining the main stage Sunday, Norman Cook a.k.a Fatboy Slim, will deliver a truly unforgettable mix of chart classics like Weapon of Choice, Right Here Right Now, Praise You and Sunset (Bird of Prey) to keep the crowd entertained into the night. Fatboy Slim is a worldwide dance icon with legendary shows at the world’s greatest clubs. Every summer Ibiza clubbers experience the unrivalled live DJ talent of our own home-grown king of dance and now London will be treated to a similarly epic night of music.

Fatboy Slim will be joined on the main stage by a host of unmissable talent including the New York Hip-Hop trio Salt ‘n’ Pepa, the group that brought you the mid-80’s classic ‘Push It.’ Preceding them will be dubstep DJ Kissy Sell Out before Zane Lowe will take to the stage to play a typically mind-blowing set of dance, dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass tunes. Herve, Uffie, Steve Aoki, Jaymo and Andy George, Thomas Gandey and Caged Baby will be on hand to deliver the music for the rest of the day.

On the DJ Magazine second stage grassroots London DJ of worldwide fame Carl Cox will be taking a night out of his busy Ibiza schedule to headline. Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Layo & Bushwacka!, M.A.N.D.Y and Vitalic will provide impressive support leading up to Cox’s sensational slot.

As if choosing between Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox wasn’t enough, throw in Boys Noize and Skream and Benga headline slots on the TimeOut Arena stage and Together Arena too and it’s clear that music lovers will be well and truly spoilt for choice over the bank holiday weekend.

Supporting Skream and Benga will be a drum ‘n’ bass legend Andy C who follows garage sensation Ms Dynamite. Caspa & Rod Azlan, Plastician, Mixhell, Jack Beats, Mary Anne Hobbs, SBTRKT and Union DJ’s will feature in the Together Arena to deliver a mixture of the biggest and best dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass and dance tunes throughout the day. The TimeOut Arena Stage will see headliners Boys Noize supported by Erolk Alkan, Switch ,A-Trak, Housemeister, Djedjotronic and Shadow Dancer.
