Open Air by MTV has a very diverse program for the mixed stage including Tensnake, Maribou State, Bakermat, Skip & Die, and Dio on Saturday. On Sunday we’re going all out with performances by Hudson Mohawke, a Bonobo DJ set, Four Tet and from our own Dutch soil, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Job Jobse and Elias Mazian. FORMAT will launch the weekend at full speed with the likes of Matador, Ambivalent and Steve Rachmad on Saturday. FORMAT’s godfather Juan Sanchez will jump behind the decks on Saturday and Sunday. Planetary Assault Systems, Oscar Mulero and DVS1 amongst others will be joining him on Sunday.

The stage in Gaasperpark’s beautiful rose garden will be shared by Apenkooi on Saturday and Jongens van de Wereld on Sunday. Techhouse lovers can indulge at the travelling party-caravan with names including DJ Sneak, Butch, Jordan Peak and William Kouam Djoko. Newcomer Jongens van de Wereld will blow the roof with KiNK, Ben Pearce, Deetron and not to forget Tom Trago, who is returning to Amsterdam Open Air for the fourth time. The GirlsLoveDJs entourage has enough DJs to sink a battleship, with amongst others, Martin Garrix, The Jillionaire & Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Oliver Heldens, Tchami, The Flexican & MC Sef, Yellow Claw and upcoming talent Mr. Belt & Wezol. Deephouse is fully represented at Amsterdam Open Air. This year on Saturday we are delighted to welcome Olivier Weiter for his debut with his own stage WEITER, and he has managed to snag big names like Agoria, Mind Against and DJ Tennis. After last year’s success, Straf_Werk is back on Sunday, striking down hard with Adana Twins, Amine Edge & DANCE, Rampa & Re.You and Tapesh.

The musical adventure is topped off by the smaller stages. It is impossible to imagine the programming without PLAK, who will be back at the intimate spot along the water on Saturday. On Sunday, Tomorrow is Now, Kid! will be calling the shots here. Hip Hop lovers can bask in the beats brought by BAWS and SFFRMKRS, and newcomers PaardenKracht and Super Social will bring the homey feeling to the dance floor with exquisite (nu)disco and funky house beats.

Naturally, Amsterdam Open Air will return to the former floral garden. The Gaasperpark surroundings with the magnificent landscape make for a magical ride. And to top it off, the end station of metro 53 being situated next to the festival grounds makes it easily accessible.

Amsterdam Open Air offers the option to stay overnight at the Gaasper Camping campsite again. After last year’s success, we are able to expand the programming to include not only Friday and Saturday night, but also Sunday night, which will be a musical festivity. The big hit of last year, the silent disco, will of course be back and the Music Lounge will be even more extensive.

In short, Amsterdam Open Air The Weekender is one large melting pot of ideas and visions that are characteristic of the current Amsterdam night life.

The pre-sale has started and the early birds have flown. Guests can purchase a weekend ticket for €69,50, a camping ticket for €99,50 or a day ticket for €44,50. The campsite is open from Friday June 6th 12:00 till Monday June 9th 12:00.

Amsterdam Open Air is a collaboration between AIR, MTV, Apenkooi and GirlsLoveDJs.
