Horizon Festival Announces Mammoth Line Up for 2014

Banderitsa Stage, Horizon Low REsImagine the best snowboarding holiday, EVER. You’re shredding down pristine mountain slopes, evergreens to either side and azure blue skies smile down on you. Queues to the lifts are non-existent and a spa awaits you at the hotel. There’s even free yoga. Every afternoon, and from every orifice the mountain has to give, AWESOME electronica pumps with enough bass to start a full scale avalanche. At the end of the week you land home, empty your pockets and find change…REAL LIFE CHANGE!

Located in the stunning Pirin National Park mountain region in the South-West corner of Bulgaria, Horizon festival bridges the gap between high-end ski festivals and the classic British festival. 75kms of slopes at heights of 2,600m, no mud, no queues, affordable prices AND an incredible party atmosphere.

Born only this year, Horizon is already a major player on the snow festival scene. This epic 6 day-er offers not only brilliant mountain sports, restaurants, bars and incredible views…it also features every shade of music in the electronic spectrum.

With a jaw-dropping selection of industry and dance floor heavyweights already confirmed  – 2014 looks set to outshine its debut. The line-up so far includes Kerri Chandler, Âme, Andreya Triana, Roy Davis Jr. KiNK, Catz’N Dogz, Phaeleh, Dub Phizix, and dBridge. Names continue to roll in, with appearances from Snakehips, Enei, Applebottom fLako, Channel One, ViLLAGE, Planas and Geode expected. This plethora of talent displays perfectly the rich variety of music available across the week.

After the huge success of 2013, not only are major artists lining up to play, but some of the industry’s most prominent record labels and brands too – a huge compliment to Horizon. Revelers can expect record label takeovers, showcase events & club partnerships from the likes of MadTech Records, Electric Minds, Trouble Vision, tief, Pets Recordings, Vagabondz, Hit’n’Run and Pack London.

Gardenia Hotel Horizon Festival Low Res (Scott M Salt)On top of this, the value is jaw dropping. Horizon 2014 features two secluded mountain stages, located just off the piste, with staging and production attaining dizzying heights, unseen last year. The Secret Hotel has a brand new Snowboard Park with pro rider demos and trick tips throughout the day. Festival-goers can ski into The Secret Hotel at any time to catch some slick tricks and awesome sounds. Music starts at 2pm every day.

The Forest Stage, a spectacular yet secluded arena, uses the surrounding snow as a natural amphitheater – adding atmosphere, and depth to the sound. New to 2014, The Forest Stage features an eclectic mix of DJs and live acts from 2pm everyday.

Access to both mountain stages is available by ski or bus, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. The party continues each night in town, across 20 spectacular venues.
