By now everyone that has their finger firmly on the pulse should realise its been all change at Ibiza’s stalwart player Pacha. Wisdom of a Glove has opened minds and guided us into the porthole of the weird and wonderful while Solumon has portrayed a fresh style of deep and darker blends of house bombs. Insane on the other hand has plain and simply (no pun intended) drafted in the no nonsense style heavy hitters from around the globe.
This week saw VIVa head honcho Steve Lawler peer away from his own residency at Sankeys and take the long stroll over to Ibiza Town to perform for the new brand. In classic Steve fashion he did not disappoint with bombs dropping all over the show, even creating on his famous sit downs in the process, something you hardly ever witness at Pacha.
However it was the trio of DJ Sneak, Mark Farina and Derrick Carter that stole the show. They graced the decks with an applaud and announced themselves with a pulsating bass line that surrounded the main stage. Legendary cuts and sublime mixing brought a shining light on the floor. Multiple drops and melodic synths echoed through the beloved main room.
Stand out moments came from Steve with his illustrious sit down and when he played some some classic cuts from his astounding imprint. The larger than life trio of Sneak, Carter and Farina also paved the way for that sound that Pacha has avoided over its tenor. A bold but wise move for the club to cross the boundaries into the unknown.
A great night to round of the trio of Pacha’s freshest soirees, a night is destined to be a another gem in the clubs crown.
