SUMMERCAMP LIVERPOOL ANNOUNCES 2 BEARS, EWAN PEARSON & OPTIMO

summercampfoxfaceAh, summercamp! Campfires, knot tying competitions, Krunk-offs and West African Dance…wait a minute…what?!

Hosted by wonder-venue – Camp and Furnaceand dreamt up by creative monkeys of Liverpool’s wild west, this is Summercampsupersonified! Imagine two glorious days of music, arts and the art of scoffing fine foods, yum. Created as part of Liverpool International Music Festival, the whole shebang really does have something for everyone.

Summercamp 2013 features musical joy from the likes of Mount Kimbie, Delphic, Wave Machines, Martha Wainwright, Ed Harcourt, The Staves, Benjamin Francis, Ghostpoet, Leftwich, Josef Salvat and Marika Hackman (with more TBA!)

For the nocturnals out there, two nights of moonlit revelry have been announced, right now in fact.  Evening fun is to be left in the capable hands of Optimo, Lunar Modular, Ewan Pearson, Nathan Fake and Hotchip’s alter-ego – 2 Bears. This is quite the addition, considering the already stellar line up.

the two bears_1ALSO joining the fun are critically-acclaimed Liverpool music/arts space The Kazimier . They’ll be commandeering the Summercamp bandstand – transforming it into the super awesome Kazimier Krunk Stage.

In addition, Liverpool Biennial presents The Experimental Music School – showcasing art, education and wonderment for humans of all ages. There’ll be film screenings with live soundtracks in association with FACT, children’s events in association with Just So Festival, The Kazimier Festival Gardens and afterhours gigs in The Blade Factory.

Noms of the food festival include a Street Food market, Teddy Bears Picnic, No Knives Or Forks, Fridgeraiders, Tree Huggers & Fussy Buggers, Food Slams, Gothic Midnight Feast and a gourmet dinner by two-time Great British Menu winner Glynn Purnell. Yum.

Summercamp takes place 24th and 25th August in and around venue Camp and Furnace within the Liverpool Baltic Triangle. Standard adult weekend tickets priced at £50 can be purchased from Summercampfestival.co.uk
