SLK Associates take a leading role at BPM 2012.

The BPM exhibition has become the World’s largest DJ’ing and production event that pulls together artists, brands and companies from all over the global to share their products, talents and knowledge. October 2012 saw SLK Associates called upon to bring in members of their amazing roster as well as their own industry experience to become part of BPM’s continuing success story.

All three days featured SLK Associates’ clients, Ninjury hit the educational zone on Saturday to share their in depth knowledge of running a label to an enthralled crowd.

Sunday saw The Squatters, The Futuristic Polar Bears and Sick Elektrik not only play knock out sets in the main arena but lend their time to panels that helped explore productions, how to go from being a DJ to a producer and giving feedback to up and coming artists on their work to date.  Jordan Suckley took to the Pioneer stand to wow the swelling crowd with his jaw dropping skills in showcasing their new equipment… you could barely move for everyone trying to catch a look at this budding legend.

Monday welcomed SLK’s and BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard who took centre stage with a Q&A about his rise to fame, hosted by Absolute Radio’s Christian Nash, there were plenty of aspiring presenters enthralled by the story. Sonny Wharton performed on the main stage to one of the biggest crowds all weekend and delighted with his bass filled house from start to finish.

SLK’s very own Kelly Dayus-Cook added her own insights about the music business to the student dominated educational day on the Monday. Joined on a panel by four other industry leaders they debated what it took to get into, survive and make a success of yourself in what we all know is a cut throat industry.
