As one of the finest European labels it’s no surprise that when we get news some associated artists are playing in any of the UK’s fair towns a story usually runs. But when it’s a veritable onslaught of pedigree house players, and the event is themed around one of the finest works of German expressionist cinema, then you can only imagine our excitement.
Put simply Innervisions‘ main men Ame, Dixon, and Henrik Schwarz are providing a brand new score to The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, a classic 1920s silent horror. The soundtrack will be performed live at one of London’s most prestigious and historic venues, The Roundhouse, on Friday August 19th, an event that runs between the surprisingly specific times of 7.45pm-2am.
The movie will be projected onto a curtain that has been conceived and created by revered technophile designer Ron Arad, resulting in what should be a mesmerising 360-degree experience if ever we heard of one. Or at least that’s what the video below would suggest, and while the fabric and film reel will be on site for a few weeks, the aforementioned date is the only chance to catch the full show, check the details below for more information, or click here.
