Breaks by the Bridge

A rather epic lineup of equally enormous names will be gathering by the Thames next weekend. Counter Culture set up a temporary art space, or “pop up club” as they like to label it, last month, with the idea of running events until the end of the year underneath London Bridge Station.

October 15th will see the arches dominated by the sound of Against The Grain, Finger Lickin’ and Southern Fried, as Krafty Kuts takes to the DJ booth. He’s also chosen Breakbeat Kaos man DJ Fresh to join him, adding some 21st Century soul (or what you might call drum n bass) to the equation. Throw in a slice of dubstep-wunderkind Cookie Monster, some percussive Drummatic Twins action and Brightonian four-deckers the 2 Bit Thugs and you’ve got yourself a night to contend with.

There’s already a bit of hype about this phat beat ho-down, so unsurprisingly tickets are selling fast- particularly as they’re £8 until 10pm tonight. The full line-up is below, but, in short, expect breakbeat, dubstep, house, garage, deenbee and hip -hop flavours to be served up until six in the morning.
