Winter’s on its way. As is the case each year, punchy beats are the best thing to warm yourself with.
Thankfully, then, there’s a perfect release in the pipeline from the Gomma disco stable. Label boss Mathias ‘Munk‘ Modica is about to return after a two year hiatus, unleashing a cheeky five track EP, Mondo Vagabondo, in mid-October. And when he does we’re predicting more than a few dancefloor explosions.
From what we’ve heard it’s as Italo and funk fueled as it is propelled by proper house music. It’s bigger than an ocean too, and equally addictive as anything in the producer’s oeuvre. As always we’ll be bringing the low down on the full release soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy this video for La Musica, taken from said EP. We’re not too sure about the live sections, but the archive footage is damn entertaining.
