Sat May 27 – The South London Soul Train seriously gets its D-I-S-C-O on, as your host with the dope tune wielding most JAZZHEADCHRONIC welcomes the truly unique and absolutely outstanding 18 piece, funked up wall of sound that are The BRIXTON CHAMBER ORCHESTRA. BCO here to present their new DISCO ORCHESTRATED project Live and very direct to the main live stage at OMEARA London.
Prepare to be shaken and totally stirred as the main room jumps to the freshly orchestrated sounds of Michael Jackson via Kool and The Gang, Dianna Ross and Beyond. Disco Classics to Anthems delivered live and with purpose, bookended by a DJ set of solid soul, funk, disco and beyond dropped lovingly hard by JHC for your ultimate get down pleasure.

BCO (BRIXTON CHAMBER ORCHESTRA): DISCO ORCHESTRATED LIVE! – Band on stage around 1230am playing a 90 min set
BCO: Disco Orchestrated are a 18-strong ensemble featuring outrageously talented musicians and singers, bringing to life the horn stabs, string lines, and bassline bravado that have come to define disco. Truly original sets are created with intricate orchestral arrangements, segues, and remixes worthy of the greatest disc jockey. Live horns and strings allow for infinite avenues of sonic exploration, built on a driving four-on-the-floor foundation. The complete orchestra line-up is fronted by 3 incredible vocalists, all individual artists bringing their unique timbres to iconic disco tunes. Always forward thinking, BCO:DO also showcase pioneering releases that are propelling disco into the future. They’ve animated the disco sound live on stage, kicking off their international dancefloor domination with hometown headline slots at Hootananny Brixton and the Lambeth Country Show.
Then In ROOM 2 [and not to be outdone] – Let the Funk, Soul, Disco and Boogie Mercilessly Flow as your ROOM 2 hosts the legendary PERRY LOUIS (Jazzcotech) and AITCH B (Soul II Soul / Soul 360) drop the absolute finest on vinyl direct to the torch lit dance and the whole of yoh soul. Cue Soul Explosion – time for another red hot dancefloor session in funked up soul.
The South London Soul Train line up completed in ROOM 3, where it’s all about the then to now funked up soul of it all. WAH WAH 45s Head Honcho DOM SERVINI and MUKTSUKU RECORDS Founder NIK WESTON dropping the platters that will always matter alongside rare cuts, re-edits and original soul beasts for maximum soul treats, ALL NIGHT LONG!

The South London Soul Train (as always) All rooms, taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.
However – Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one’s for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
