SAM REDMORE AND THE TROPICAL SOUNDCLASH ALLSTARS – Band on stage around 1230am
Producer and artist Sam Redmore is shaping a career as one of the UK’s most exciting new talents.
His path has seen him evolve from club DJ and promoter, to remixer responsible for a host of killer edits, to lighting up airwaves and stages from London to LA with his original productions.
His knowledge of global, eclectic sounds – shaped when following the movements of the likes of Gilles Peterson, Quantic, Louie Vega and Mr Scruff – sets up his 2022 debut album Universal Vibrations as a feast for those who want to dance to a different beat.
Redmore may be the new boy on the Jalapeno Records block, but with credit from Craig Charles, Quantic, Nightmares on Wax and Danny Krivit already in the bank he is perfectly placed to uphold the label’s ethos. His succinct summary that the album represents “music for dancefloors inspired by music from all over”, means no reveller is going home disappointed.
Then in ROOM 2 – We hand over to the soul, funk, disco and boogie duo, the Legendary PERRY LOUIS (Jazzcotech) and partner in vinyl madness and mayhem AITCH B (Soul 2 Soul / Soul 360). The dynamic duo here to bring the positive noise and good time dance, ALL NIGHT LONG. Beware the soul shrapnel as the dance floor goes BOOM!
The South London Soul Train 3 room 12 year anniversary special line up completed in ROOM 3, where we invite you to enter The REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND. DJs ANDY SMITH + NICK HALKES dropping 80’s boogie, soul, funk, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ and ‘Studio 54′. FYI: Cramp from excessive hand raising likely, Dancing mandatory!!
The South London Soul Train (as always) All rooms, taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.
However – Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one’s for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
The South London Soul Train Runs 11pm – 4am on the last Saturday of each month (2023) at Omeara London. Entry £5-13 Adv from RA or £15 OTD at OMEARA London.
