Electrosplash Festival Returns, Valencia

10433906_866295980051995_9208901388846073754_nThis 12 – 14 July, about an hour north of Valencia in the small beach town of Vinaròs, electronic music festival Electrosplash returns following a number of years in the wilderness, however, whatever has happened during this time, the new Electrosplash team have put together a festival of quality underground house, disco, techno and electronica that welcomes some serious international talent and not any EDM nonsense in sight!

Running for several years until 2006 Electrosplash disappeared but has been brought back to life by the new director of the festival, Vincente Salvador who in turn brought in the talented Valencian DJ/Producer Daniel Kyo to assist with the curation of this 3 day programme.

With the license for the festival only being issued a few months ago, this has been very much a race against time and what they have managed to deliver is nothing short of stunning! International names such as Nina Kraviz, Craig Richards, Tensnake, Crazy P, Ivan Smagghe, Marc Piñol, Tevo Haward and a sack load more are all on their way to the East coast of Spain for this weekends event (see full line up over the weekend below).

Not only have they sourced some of the biggest names from the underground but they have delved deep into the European scene to pull some of the most respected DJs to Electrosplash in order to make sure the music is of the highest order from top to bottom.

Tickets are very reasonable, they offer a number of forms of camping including ‘Glamping’, for those who are more accustom to 5* hotels than a two man tent, and with a five year license and a little more time in the planning, this festival is going to be a must visit for many from the UK and with Valencia just round the corner and a wonderful city to visit with its own golden beaches, there is not much to fault Electrosplash.

Fortunately, Plain and Simple will be visiting the festival on Sunday as we travel with Stuart Patterson who will be playing during the afternoon. We will report back next week with our opinion of the festival and information on how to follow Electrosplash for 2015.

However, if you are in Spain this weekend or fancy jumping on a plane for a last minute getaway, tickets are only 20€ per day or 40€ for the whole weekend, plus they have various levels of camping from the basic to stunning tents and facilities.
