Thursday is the new Friday – The weekend begins on Thursday – Thursday is better as cheaper and better people etc etc etc. All nonsense but taglines often used by Thursday promoters to try and prize people from their homes or to keep them out after work. Either way, we have been sent information on a number of shit hot Thursday events this week and thought it a crime that they didn’t get a little focus, all of their own.
So, here are three great nights to attend tonight that would be worth a visit regardless of the night of the week and the perfect way to screw up Friday at work!
IDIOT SAVANT LIVE @ Brixton Jamm
The concept for this one is simple, combining electronic music with instrumentalists. The first half of the night will feature the music collectives Citywalls and Didjitalis. Expect to see a didgeridoo, keyboard, singer, saxophonist, drummer and more creating house music LIVE on stage! Later in the night straight up DJ set take to the stage with two great bookings in TÂCHES and PAWSA. With both rooms at the venue in full flow until 5am, this is BIG Thursday night of some class!

If you are East and you like it Bass Heavy then FWD>> is always a banker, plus they have killed the line up tonight with Kode9, Bok Bok, Scratch DVA and Girl Unit. Not really much else to say to be honest, it does what is says on the tin!

The venue begin a new event with magazine It’s Rude To Stare showcasing only cutting edge bands and DJs and they are starting in some style! We love Psychemagik and they will be headlining the night alongside the excellent Rude residents and an array of early evening live talent.
