Jordi Castillo – Aural Memories [Fade Up]
Spanish producer Jordi Castillo already has assured productions in his back catalogue, and they have come on labels like Toolroom and 1605, but here he steps up on his own fledgling label Fade Up Music. His Aural Memories EP is the second to be released on the label and features plenty of positive house vibes.
The title track goes first and is a lush, melodically rich house beat that’s forever uplifting as it sways on mid tempo drums. It’s a perfect terrace track; one to soundtrack your BBQ or the sort of thing that perfectly brings you down after a big night out. An instrumental mix is also provided, as is other original Next Concept. This one is slightly more amped up with techy drum cycles and metallic synths creating more of an upbeat atmosphere. It’s devilishly well produced stuff with plenty of colourful melody and marks another solid release from the Spaniard.
