Stefan Obermaier – Alpino
It’s not easy to get ahead on the current dance music world but Austrian Stefan Obenmaier is taking the power back and going it alone. Here he mints his own new label Drift with a brace of bracing house cuts that will do plenty of damage on dancefloors.
The first offering is Alpino, a mildly euphoric main room house track with plenty of trance ideals bottled up in the bright, bold synths. Female chanting lurks within and the way the track breaks then drives makes it a full on anthem in the making. On & On on the other hand is a more soulful cut laced up with rapped ghetto lyrics. It has plenty of sunny, streaming melodies running right through it and also comes as an instrumental version. On this evidence Stefan Obenmaier is certainly one to watch in the coming months.
