Karizma at Inner Rhythm

Inner Rhythm pull out another incredible booking in Karizma for this Sunday’s party.

Bank Holiday weekend is packed with great events, it always is. Inner Rhythm at East Village is certainly one of these events and a night that has been mentioned before in a piece I wrote on the picks of a particular bank holiday weekend last year.

One of the reasons Inner Rhythm is so intriguing and exciting is the sheer intimacy of the party. Hosted in East Village basement, they are never going to get more than 250 people in there, but still manage to have a list of guests that on any other occasion, require much bigger venues, mainly to generate the money to be able to host such artists. It is not very often you can be up close and personal with some of the legends of house, but this is exactly how is should be! They also manage to keep the price down to around £5 and £6 for advance tickets so when previous guests include Danny Krivit, Jimpster, DJ Spen, AtJazz, Andre Lodemann, Joshua Iz, Brothers Vibe, Craig Smith, Beg To Differ and now Karizma, this price is a giveaway.

A lot can be put down to the fact that the residents and brains behind this Sunday party are Phil Asher and Stuart Patterson. Both are respected across the globe by their peers and are probably able to attract more than your average promoter to play at a party, but it is the ethos and vibes that oozes house music from its core that has seen DJs play, leave, tell their friends and made Inner Rhythm a party that DJs just want to play at.

With the residents, guests, intimacy and vibe created, it is simply one of the best house music events out there. There is no decor or extras thrown in to put a touch of icing on top to entice people along, the music is there to do that and the crowd of dancers who attend will vouch for that. It is just confusing to me that with all these elements, there are not queues down the street for every Inner Rhythm. It is like they manage to just get the word out to enough people so the dancefloor is busy and full of vibe, but leaving enough room to skip, move, jump, wave and get down to the sumptuous beats pulsing with soul through the warm sound system.

I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, Inner Rhythm is just class and without a doubt, a club you need to visit.
