B.Traits, Gorgon City & Roses Gabor join the Speakerbox warehouse line-up – Win Tickets!

SpeakerBox

With only two weeks to go until Speakerbox’s first party of the year, the much-anticipated line up for room two is ready for human consumption! Headline act Traits will be joined by Gorgon City (Foamo and RackNRuin), Roses Gabor, Kry Wolf, SecondCity, Majestic and Bitr8.

Great Suffolk Street Warehouse seemed like the obvious venue choice. Hailed ‘the mother of all warehouse spaces’ this recycled car park has played host to the likes of Mulletover, Cacoon and Shake It! (Layo & Bushwacka) This is the ultimate dark and dirty rave space; get ready for filthy shoes and even filthier beats!

Gracing the mighty arches of room two will be headliner B.Traits. This lady sure packs a punch, hosting her own BBC Radio show and being sworn first lady of Digital Soundboy are just a few of her huge achievements thus far. Prepare for a mind melting set of everything from breakbeats, jungle, dubstep, drum & bass, reggae, dancehall, garage, hip-hop, UK funky and house music. WOW!

Speakerbox head honcho MistaJam will also take to the stage not once but twice, always dedicated to delighting his fans he’ll be going for round two later in the evening with an exclusive house set.

Next on the bill are Gorgon City, a power-mix of creative genius comprised of Foamo and RackNRuin. Theamalgamation of these two minds has been one of epic proportion. Expect Heavy hip-swinging rhythms and butt-shaking bass.

Speakerbox is very excited to announce rising star Rose Gabor. Having already collaborated with some of the most well respected producers in the industry; Shy FX, Gorillaz, Buraka Som Sistema and Redlight, it seems ridiculous to pen Rose as ‘up and coming’. With slick beats, feisty vocals and a whole heap of rumbling basslines she’ll have the crowd dancing through rose tinted glasses.

Also up are dynamic duo Kry Wolf. With their distinctively creative and varied production style, Kry Wolf have caught the attention of some of the most influential faces in bass music including Zinc, Mary Anne Hobbs, A-Trak and Sub Focus. The twosome is also behind some of the biggest parties ever thrown on the south coast.

With SecondCity already powering into 2013 with a series of free downloads, such as You Feel and A1, this pair are a fireball ready to explode! We can expect House influences and heavy bass driven vibes that will have the dance floor pumping.

Majestic must have spent the past few months shackled to his studio desk. At the end of 2012 he released his EP Let’s Go Back on Speakerbox, he is set to feature on Laidback Luke’s next single, Pogo and as if that isn’t enough he’ll also be releasing another new EP on Speakerbox in the coming months. Busy boy.

Producer, songwriter, MC and multi-instrumentalism are not the only skills this man possesses, he’s also a brilliant DJ. Party-goers can look forward to a powerful set from Maj.

Last but not least; Bitr8 has been the face behind the Speakerbox radio show on Ministry of Sound Radio since the very beginning. Every week his fans are taken on a one-hour journey into the bass bins of Speakerbox’s soul!

Expect his DJ set on the night to be a sharp representation of his radio show and the record labels brand.

With headliner heavyweights such as Chase & Status (with Rage) Pendulum (with Verse), MistaJam, KillSonik, DECiBEL and DJ Cable we can expect Speakerbox Warehouse Party to blow both minds and eardrums in one fell swoop!

Speakerbox are exploding into 2013 with a statement of intent: taking it back to basics in a raw industrial space and keeping it all about the music.
