Following a hugely successful launch in December which saw early bird tickets sell out in an unprecedented 67 minutes, We Are FSTVL is delighted to be kicking off 2013 with another exciting announcement. Newly confirmed to join existing arena partners Cocoon Heroes, Kehakuma, Crosstown Rebels, Mulletover, secretsundaze, Crèche and Kigu is BBC Radio 1 DJ MistaJam, who will be bringing his celebrated Speakerbox party to Upminster, Essex in May.
As is to be expected, the line-up features some of the hottest and most cutting edge talent from the bass spectrum as cherry-picked by the man himself, including live performances from Rudimental, Jaguar Skills, P Money and Scrufizzer and and DJ sets from Sub Focus, Modestep, Breakage, BBC Radio 1’s B Traits, Monsta and more.
For those who missed the announcements across social media at the end of last month, Bristol’s biggest export and fastest rising star on the house scene Eats Everything and Shadow Child have also been added to the Crèche stage, while Kehakuma have bagged the legendary Nick Curly, and Circoloco resident David Squillace. Rounding up the latest additions is Boddika – aka Al Bleek and one half of d’n’b Instra:mental – who will be playing on the Mulletover arena.
Not content with hosting an expansive world class line-up, We Are FSTVL will be placing a huge emphasis on production to create an unrivalled festival experience, never before applied to the UK dance festival market. Expect to see an arena made entirely out of shipping containers, a 2,000 capacity beach arena inspired by a tiki paradise and a secret crop circle rave, each with its own set of LED video walls, state of the art lasers and Funktion One Sound systems.
Plus prepare for unexpected twists and surprises nestled away such as dress-up boxes and play areas for those who want to blend seamlessly into their fantastical surroundings and bespoke never-before-seen design details, making We Are FSTVL set to be a game-changer.
