Michael Mayer announces limited tour ahead of new album

If you missed our news story on the forthcoming LP from Kompakt’s esteemed co-founding bossman then click here for full details of Mantasy, the record in question. Meanwhile, those already aware should stick around, as more news has come from the German imprint.

Next month Michael Mayer, whose new album approaches imminently, will head out to play a string of dates, with the tour running until just after Christmas. Don’t expect scores of shows though, as he will only play 13 in total, with the idea being people turn up and listen to the revered DJ and producer, all night long, in one of his favourite clubs.

The schedule will take in some truly impressive venues, not least Robert Johnson in Offenbach, Melbourne Prince Bandroom, and notorious Paris haunt The Rex Club. Needless to say, we’re more concerned with the UK side of things, and there are just two to pick from. His first point of call will be Leeds, for a date at Wire on November 23rd, followed by the impressive underground Williams Tunnel in Liverpool (24th). Full details at the bottom of the page, below that embedded stream to the first track from Mantasy. Enjoy.
