John Digweed to play marathon London set

You may remember our news story last month on the ten sizeable Fire: In Session parties set to grace our capital (if not read it here). Well, next month sees the rather enticing prospect of a particularly noteworthy UK label marking its anniversary as part of the series, and news arrived this week that we can all expect an extended, extended set from the imprint’s legendary head honcho.

Bedrock Records has been piping out stone cold classics of the deep, heavy and utterly commanding type since its inception. It began with Heaven Scent back in those heady mainroom prog days, whilst this year’s crop of quality tunes from the likes of Christian Smith, Stelios Vassiloudis, Parisian techno star Maxime Dangles marks the imprint out as a fine contemporary force, packed with enough personality to ensure the organisation stands out amid a sea of cookie cutter rivals.

Introductions aside the crew will be taking over London’s Fire in Vauxhall on Saturday October 6th. Alt-dance and electronica stalwart Apparat will be in the house, but the biggest news of all is that bossman and all round British club institution John Digweed will be playing a rather old school sounding seven hour set, perfect for anyone growing increasingly tired of the ADHD dance scene. Full details below.
