An Interview with Tocadisco.

SuperVision is a brand new indoor festival brought to you by Sub-Tracked Events. Taking place at the impressive Proud2 in London, it’s a large scale event that goes way beyond your usual club night with more entertainment, creative production and plenty of different areas to dance and chill out, and of course the finest electronic dance music.

The theme will be Futuristic Fantasy with different DJs and different vibes in each room. There will be 4 DJ areas on the night including Main Stage, Peninsula Room, VIP area and a 700 capacity outdoor area, all adorned with huge LED screens, pyrotechnics, ice cannons and other entertainers and acts throughout the night plus so much more all on hand to make sure this is a sensory experience like few others.

The main room will be sound tracked by house and electro legends Tocadisco, Frenchmen Arno Cost and Tristan Garner plus the return to the UK for massive progressive house DJ, EDX and the UK’s best Kim Fai and Futuristic Polar Bears. Room 2 meanwhile will be all about tech house with Manuel de la Mare headlining with Ant Brooks and Dan Castro both spinning as well.

The VIP has an East & Young debut UK set (3 hours) plus guests, whilst the outdoor area will have a silent disco which will allow all the deep house heads to dance, chill out and relax on the beds provided whilst sipping delicious cocktails from the outside bar.

We caught up with headliner Tocadisco to see what he has got in store…

How are you, what’s got you most excited recently?

I just moved my studio. It’s great we have everything now under one roof…

record label ( TOCA45 ), studio and booking agency… perfect…

How much have your tastes/style evolved in the last 12 months?

I’m always open for new sounds. I love that it’s getting a bit crazier again. I like rocking music. Dubstep had a great influence on the sounds…

What’s been the highlight of your long career?

My highlight is that I am still doing what I love. Now that my wife Natasha is getting really successful with her booking agency it’s even better…

What keeps you enthused after all these years?

Music is constantly changing. I love new adventures. And there is more music than ever. I love music – that’s it.

How often do you spend looking for new music each week, and where?

I get send a lot of music by labels and other artists. I’m always looking for new sounds. I’m constantly listening to what people play if I go out and at festivals where I play myself I check out other artists. Beatport is always a good choice for buying music of course.

What should people expect from your set at SuperVision, London?

It will be crazy. I really looking forward to this. I don’t play too much in the UK but when I do its always a night to remember…

What do you like to do outside music?

I love movies. I’m shooting music videos with my film company Sagamore Films. I also love to go on a ride with my wife and my Harley Davidson…

What else you got coming up?

Lots of stuff just got released. There is another single on Toolroom Rec in the pipeline. I help to produce the new Cosmo Klein single ‘By Tonight’ that will be released on my label. I also shot the video for this. I got a bunch of other remixes and coops for example with Koen Groeneveld, and another one with Robbie Rivera. I’ve also been asked to do something with Moby but its still in the process …so lots of things to come…
