One of Manchester’s finest events targeting bassier noises and left of the middle kick drums will welcome a stellar lineup of notable names to help celebrate its second year of partying this weekend. From rolling, dark four fours to funk-fuelled glitch and space age house this one’s got it all, whilst still maintaining an enviable level of credibility.
No doubt that’s largely due to the lack of obvious bookings that comprise the line up for Selective Hearing’s 2nd Birthday, which takes place tomorrow night (Saturday, March 3rd), at Joshua Brooks. The man with the red face (literally), Redshape will be in the room to look all scary beneath the strobes and dish out some immersive, deep and tough techno business, meanwhile Actress looks to entertain with his complex beat patterns and layered atypical rhythms. And, as if that wasn’t enough, Space Dimension Controller will also be dropping in to dish out some futurist vibes no doubt inspired as much by club culture as intergalactic exploration.
