Above & Beyond to host secret London Gig for Tight Space.

Tight Space is a music series which has been designed to celebrate creativity while promoting the new G-Technology by Hitachi, a brand dedicated to delivering premium external storage solutions for Mac users. It launched in the US in the summer in association with Brooklyn’s Fool’s Gold Records with live performances by A-Trak, Chromeo, and Treasure Fingers, and now Above and Beyond take up the UK arm.

“Tight Space” includes a series of live broadcasts and interviews and will launch on Tuesday, 15th November at 9pm with a live streaming event showcasing Above & Beyond’s DJ set at a secret London location.  This exclusive event is only available to fans who ‘like’ the G-Technology Europe page on Faceboook where they’ll gain access to watch the live performance from the comfort of their own computer.

Fans who wish to attend the limited capacity gig can apply for free tickets on Above & Beyond’s Facebook page. This will be the last chance for fans to see the trio in the UK this year. The event is also the launch pad for the band’s London 2012 live plans, details of which will be revealed on the night.

Just like its American counterpart, “Tight Space” in the UK will take place at a small and intimate venue that fans wouldn’t normally see Above & Beyond performing in. However, G-Technology wanted to offer everyone with Facebook access the chance to experience the show as if they were there from the comfort of their own computer. “Tight Space” will capture the music and party aesthetic live.

Above & Beyond have sold out concert halls on both sides of the Atlantic including shows at Brixton Academy and L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium. They’ve previously played to 1 million people on Barra Beach in Rio and soundtracked the launch of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Spaceship Two, while the 350th episode of their TATW radio show became the world’s top trending topic on Twitter. Their second artist album “Group Therapy” was released this summer.

Above & Beyond said, “We’re excited to be putting on a free gig for our London fans whilst giving everyone else the chance to tune in via a global video stream. We’ve picked an interesting venue, which should make the experience all the more unique and memorable.”
