On Friday 16th September XOYO will unleash a birthday weekender that proves this new kid on the block really does hold its own when it comes to bookings.
Larry Heard
On Friday September 16th, Chicago house pioneer Mr Fingers, aka Larry Heard, gets his funk on with remixer du jour Jamie XX. Jamie is no stranger to the venue having played b2b with Oneman at a FACT party back in April. He has really shifted from being best known for his work in The xx to being a producer in his own right with remixes for Adele, Glasser and Florence and also his collaboration with Gil-Scott Heron. Tonight he meets another legend – one of Chicago house’s most celebrated artists. Heard, now Memphis based, led the influential group Fingers Inc. and also released some of house music’s most revered tracks as Mr Fingers – Washing Machine and Can You Feel It amongst them. We anticipate a night of incredible house music that will span the decades.

Saturday September 17th.
On the Saturday night XOYO goes back to the founding’s of Techno music. Juan Atkins is one of a kind, the originator of Detroit Techno, a creative genius who has inspired so many in the scene, from ‘The Chase’ to ‘No UFO’s’. Alongside Juan, is upcoming future icon Xxxy, (who really impressed us at the Big Chill This year) through his influence of Drum n Bass and Techno he’s produced a string of hits including ‘Know You’ one of FACT magazines tunes of 2010, notable recognition also from the likes of Pitchfork have pushed Xxxy into the future elite. This is truly a unique offering of these two artists: The future and the icon are sure to deliver a night of incredible techno inspired music.
