Glasgow’s influence on electronic music cannot be underestimated. From institutions like The Sub Club to decade spanning underground heroes such as Slam there has always been something of a subtle pride and confidence about Scotland’s second city.
Vince Watson has played a pretty big part in the credibility of said scene. In 1995 there was the residency he held alongside Dave Angel at The Arena, later his millennial LP, Biologique, dropped and caused quite a stir, while in between and subsequently there have been plenty of productions worthy of attention, not to mention countless dates.
Now residing in Amsterdam, and known amongst ‘proper techno heads’ for blistering live sets of pure analogue goodness, his story is one of hard work, patience, and time spent perfecting the craft paying off, as anyone who downloaded his Fabric mixtape from this very site, or those that have caught him in action will attest to. Naturally he’s going to have quite a record collection after nigh on two decades spent amassing black plastic, and sourcing material for his Bio and Everysoul imprints, so it seemed like a good idea to get him on board for the next ten recommended tracks. Here we go then.
