The International Music Summit returns to Ibiza for the 4th Year.

The IMS returns to Ibiza for the fourth year in a row at the end of this month, bringing with it a whole host of industry leaders, record labels and guest speakers for what’s set to be the most exciting year yet for the world’s leading electronic music conference, set in the spiritual home of dance music.  Speakers for IMS:2011 include representatives from: Nokia, National Geographic, BBC Radio One, William Morris Endeavour, Mute, Electric Daisy Carnival, kaZantip, Top Spin Media, KCRW, Windish Agency and Julie’s Bicycle. The event will see some of the biggest industry names gather to discuss and debate the music industry, including keynote interview and panels.

For those not lucky enough to be on the delegate list, there are also a host of industry parties taking place in the evenings, which will be open to the public, well worth a heading out to the white Isle a few days early for (ahead of the official opening parties which start to kick off a few days later).

Pacha will play host to the official IMS Opening Party on the Wednesday night, as confirmed daytime guest speakers Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler will all take to the decks to present their own mutant breed of modern house music that has caught the attention of so many people across the globe. In addition, Mark Jones (Wall Of Sound) will host his past:present:future concept Back To The Phuture in the side room with himself performing but also Mute Records boss Daniel Miller. Miller will play uncompromising electronic music using all manner of new futuristic technologies.

The IMS Grand Finale Festival’s will be held again this year at Dalt Vila. Set in the heart of Ibiza’s Old Town and looking over the Balearic sea, this huge open-air evening festival will be made even bigger this year with the line-up including a headline set from the legendary 2manydjs, with further DJ sets from Dubfire, Pete Tong and Jason Bentley and live performances from Hercules & Love Affair and The Japanese Posters. It should be very special.

Also, for the first time ever the IMS will be hosting the Dalt Vila on the Thursday night as well, where they’ll be welcoming David Guetta. The infamous French DJ will be joined by Nervo and friends to present an exclusive show for his many, many fans on the island. Their first party of the season will be held later the same evening at Pacha.

Last year the IMS also featured some great content from the summit on the web, meaning the site is worth keeping an eye on for anyone interested in the business of music.
