Coachella has risen over recent years to be one of biggest festivals on the planet. The Californian festival was first launched in 1999, and since then has taken its place as the leading US event, with every hipster and mover from the world of fashion and music now in attendance.
Dance music wise there’s plenty of offer, and it’s interesting to see the influx of the UK bass sound into the American circuit amongst more firmly established electronic acts including:
Axwell, Andy C, Casper, Chromeo, A-trak, Beardyman, Boyz Noize, DJ Zinc, Cut Copy, Erick Morrillo, DJ Hype, Magnetic Man, Laidback Luke, Jack Beats, Mount Kimbie, Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, Steve Angello, Trentmoller, The Chemical Brothers and Sven Vath.
Looking good so far, plus there’s some of the worlds biggest bands to consider, such as Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire and the Strokes, add big name draws such as Kanye West, PJ Harvey and Duran Duran and a trip to California is looking pretty good.
