Mount Kimbie continue their ascent

So far this decade only a few new acts have really shone, and thankfully one of those have just announced a new EP. Well, sort of anyway.

Blind Night Errand will be released on Hotflush. Dubstep producer Scuba is behind the label, but releases from the likes of Ben Klock, The Black Dog, DJ Koze and, of course, Mount Kimbie prove there’s more than a little diversity, and plenty of quality, in the catalogue.

The 12″ will include Blind Night Errand and Before I Move Off from Dominic Maker and Kai Campos’ acclaimed debut long-player, Crooks & Lovers, released earlier this year. Alongside the album material will be a Mount Kimbie remix of William and a live version of Maybes, recorded at Berghain in Berlin; tracks originally featured on the 2009 EP, Maybes.

The pair will be touring the UK over the next month, starting tonight at Jam in Brighton. Sadly, there’s no London show in this series of dates, so perhaps it’s time to take a trip…
