Hailing from Croydon alongside other musical peers, in the early 2000s Jones was regarded a visionary as one of the dubstep sound’s most iconic artists. He’s since spent his time working in other genres, today finding himself more than accomplished in the house and techno sphere. With a career spanning across the spectrum in electronic music, Skream has consistently proven himself to be a leader in the field. He’s joined by rising star Patrick Topping. Known for his use of addictive house hooks and bass lines, over the last 2 years Topping has taken his sound from intimate UK clubs to dance floors across the world. FABRICLIVE: High Contrast & Critical Sound Album Launch
    fabric - London - 12/05/2017 23:00-07:00
    Event Info:

FABRICLIVE preps for an evening of high octane drum & bass across both levels of the club. In Room One, we welcome one of the scene’s best-loved players as High Contrast lands for an extended 3-hour set. Emerging in the early 2000s, High Contrast helped make Hospital Records one of the most recognisable drum & bass labels in history, and cemented his place as one of the sound’s most definitive producers. His productions consistently deliver a distinct liquid sound, and some of his full-length albums are considered seminal works within the genre. High Contrast returns to Farringdon for the first time in 2 years to play a special extended set in Room One. He’s joined by RAM Records heavyweights Culture Shock, as well as recent breakthroughs Turno and Mollie Collins. The Room One bill is rounded off by Bristolian TS2W, while some of liquid’s most essential MCs step up for hosting duties as Dynamite, Inja and 2Shy all join.

Over in Room Two, Critical Sound returns to EC1 in celebration of the label’s 15 year anniversary. Kasra and his cohorts will be marking the special occasion with the launch of their compilation album ’15 years of Underground Sonics’ looking back on the label’s history. One of the most current and relevant drum & bass imprints, Critical has consistently produced some of the most forward-thinking drum & bass records of recent times. Having charted their journey closely through the last 15 years, we’ve also shared a close relationship with the label as Critical Sound has taken a firm place in the FABRICLIVE side of our programming. This spring sees them bringing Critical’s key players old and new to Farringdon to represent the full spectrum of the label’s sound.

As a seasoned guest in our space and recent contributor to our album series, his regular appearances have showcased both his knowledge and vision of techno. Joining him for a live performance is Redshape, the singular techno producer and elusive figure. With work spanning across key labels like Delsin, Present and Running Back, Redshape has consistently pushed a sound most recognisable as his own. fabric Presents: Max Cooper, Benjamin Damage, Matt Tolfrey
    fabric - London - 19/05/2017 23:00-07:00
    Event Info:

One of the key signings on Cologne’s Traum Schallplatten Max Cooper’s melodic sound crossing between IDM and experimental has made him one of electronic music’s most individual forces. He first started DJing through the 90s, while more recently following his 2016 ‘Emergence’ LP he’s pushed the boundaries of the club experience via his own audio-visual live performances. Joining him for a live performance in Room One is Benjamin Damage, the mysterious techno producer signed to Berlin’s 50Weapons powerhouse. The British producer put out his first release on Modeselektor’s defunct imprint in 2010, and his acclaimed LP ‘Obsidian’ became the label’s swansong before it stopped operations in 2015. Damage returns to Farringdon for a live set in Room One. The bill is finally rounded off by Falty DL, the Planet Mu and Ninja Tune affiliate and master of the modern 2-step sound. Emerging in the haze of post-dubstep, Drew Lustman became recognised for his distinctive bass-informed sound, with his productions landing across labels as varied as Swamp 81 and Ninja Tune. With last year’s ‘Mean Streets (Part Three)’ seeing him go into forays of breakbeat and house for Loefah’s definitive imprint, Lustman consistently proves his ability to operate across the spectrum of electronic soundscapes.

Over in Room Two long standing friend and fabric 81 compiler brings his new party enterprise Don’t Be Leftout to Farringdon. Tolfrey’s been building the brand by inviting integral players from his Leftroom label extended family to spin alongside him and so far these parties have taken place across Europe and the rest of the UK. Tonight he’s picked out Route 94 ot DJ and Heartthrob to perform live as part of the set up.

    Event Info:

On 20th May we welcome back one of our most longstanding guests as Magda returns to Farringdon. Magda first visited us way back in 2003, and through the years she became a regular fixture at the club expressing her unique layered-mixing style of micro-funk. She’s joined by an equally adept selector as our resident Craig Richards steps up, meanwhile one of Richards’ close collaborators in the studio and resident at Berlin’s The Off venue Hamid rounds off the Room One bill.

Known for their off-piste events, Krankbrother have become an established force in the capital for bringing forward-thinking line-ups to locations spanning across East London. Joining Krankbrother is one of Iceland’s key techno exports as Bjarki touches down. First emerging after he signed to Nina Kraviz’s trip imprint, through a compelling string of releases Bjarki has proven himself as a distinct producer and DJ. Krankbrother also invite 50Weapons powerhouse FJAAK for a live performance to round off our Room Two bill.
