Following in the footsteps of modern New Orleans funk bands such as Galactic and Trombone Shorty, and drawing inspiration from Mardi Gras Indians and classic outfits such as James Brown, The Meters and Rebirth Brass Band, The Big Smoke Family have dedicated themselves to the funky sounds of New Orleans with a unique blend of horns, street beats, scratching and original compositions.

The SLST Line up completed in the RYE WAX / BASEMENT by REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND Djs ANDY SMITH, NICK HALKES & CRISSY KYBOSH dropping 80’s boogie, soul, funk, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54’.
