The South London Soul Train throws its annual celebration of the life & works of the ultimate showman Prince Rogers Nelson with Echoes Of Minneapolis (Live) + More. Time to party likes it’s 1999!
Sat Apr 20 – 3 years almost to the day from the sad, untimely passing of the unequalled genius that is / was Prince (Apr 21 2016 RIP), The South London Soul Train throws its annual celebration of the life and works of the ultimate showman, composer, arranger and performer aka PRINCE ROGERS NELSON.
Cult of Prince members JAZZHEADCHRONIC and The Mighty MARLON CELESTE once again worshipping at the Cuban heeled feet of the man who should of been called king and at one time had no name. This year however we’ll be stepping things up, presenting an intricate, yet well funked up LIVE celebration of The sounds of Minneapolis by the magnificent ECHOES OF MINNEAPOLIS (LIVE). EOM exploring the wider sounds of of The Time, André Cymose and of course Prince. Perfectly rinsed, reinterpreted and dropped harder by one of the best Live bands around.
Echoes of Minneapolis are in the house and we gonna party like it’s 1999. Big Time!
Then on LEVEL 2 – Right Honourable Minister of The Rare Funk 45 DJ SNOWBOY and the Legendary DEAN RUDLAND drop it like it’s hot all night long. Delivering a white hot pallet load of vinyl on yehs and waits for the sweat to fall. Soul Brellas Highly recommended!
ROOM 3 – Too damn hot SLST residents – Mukatsuku Head NIK WESTON and long standing DJ Partner and bad ass DJ HUW 72 (Mr Bongo), take you on another mind melding, sublime globalistic Safari across planet groove.
The SLST line up completed in the RYE WAX BASEMENT by Wah Wah 45 Heads DOM SERVINI + SCRIMSHIRE serving up more piping hot joints from the world wide wonder funk, soul, boogie and hip hop underground. BOOM!
