It’s hard to express in words how happy and proud we truly are at MiSFiT to be celebrating our third birthday together… 3 years of not caring for trends or conventions… 3 years of connecting and losing ourselves in the music and the dance floor… 3 years of… Well, not making cliched soundbites and just getting on with the f***ing show!
Which is exactly what we are doing. In true backwards MiSFiT fashion we are bringing techno to one of London’s leading rock and metal venues, The Underworld. An iconic, cavernous venue in the heart of Camden Town, The Underworld has an impressive 31k sound system that’s just begging to be pushed by some quality underground sounds.
Ah yes, the music…
Angie Taylor brings her unique style and seemingly boundless energy to MiSFiT for the first time. An incredible musical talent, Angie has played bass with Jeff Mills and somehow finds time to run her panicroom project between touring and recording. Her individual set up has to be seen to be believed, bass guitar and vocals accompanying her DJ set-up. Possibly some dynamite in there too somewhere!
Surreal’s cheerful and carefree demeanour mask an incredible technical ability. His intricate mixes and immaculate track selection allow him to build and control a dance floor. MiSFiT DJ’s Lego Las and Cavner recently joined him at his residency in Baalsaal, Hamburg and we were spellbound by his set there. We’re really looking forward to his first UK performance.
