A lot has changed in five years but our focus on talented dj`s and quality house music remains the same. Some of the worlds best have graced our deck`s including Ralph Lawson (2020 vision), Nima Gorji (welt/murmur) and Alex Niggamann (Pokerflat) who have all played epic sets to our wonderful crowds! Without you guys we would not be here today, so we thank you all for your support, energy and dangerous shapes!
We hope you will join us for this huge birthday celebration over two floors, with two of the biggest names in House music, D`Julz and Shur-I-Kan.
D’Julz (Bass Culture / 2020 Vision / Dessous / Pokerflat) has been at the forefront of electronic music since his career first began back in 1992. A firm DJ and fan alike, his ability to transcend genres and trends has seen him hold one of the most consistent levels of success of any modern day DJ/Producer. His music has featured on some of the worlds finest labels, and his releases and remixes for the likes of Ovum, 20:20 Vision, Dessous, Pokerflat, Safari, Real Tone, Get Physical, Mobilee, Rekids, Systematic and 100% Pure have all become essential weapons in the record boxes of the world’s elite.
The Frenchman continues to impress, with his Bass Culture label going from strength to strength, as this year he releases the Rex club compilation, celebrating 15 years of the his infamous Bass Culture parties. The dj, producer, remixer and label boss has consistently impressed huge crowds all over the world, cementing his reputation as a world class act. Tom Szirtes aka Shur-I-kan, is considered amongst the top of a new wave of electronic producers thanks to his trademark blend of musicality and cutting edge production techniques. Shur-i-kan has been a long standing key artist in Jimpsters’ Freerange Records label (voted Best British Label 2007) – a relationship that stretches all the way back to 2001, leaving a legacy of two studio albums and a string of classic house EPÕs that include Living Inside, I Want It, Special Powers, Future Fantasy and Letting You Down.
Representing the deeper side of house, Tom’s acclaimed productions are in heavy demand, having remixed the likes of Akabu, Trackheadz, Miguel Migs and Fred Everything. Ever difficult to pigeon hole, Shur-I-kan’s productions can also be found on top labels such as Simple, NRK, Urban Torque, Physical Graffiti and Winding Road. He is also well known for his numerous collaborations with Glasgow house kingpin Milton Jackson, recently starting their own label, Dark Energy Recordings that has already
gained a considerable reputation in the scene. Shur-I-kan has built a career as an exciting international DJ, playing huge sets in the US, Brazil, Europe, Asia and beyond.
Supporting D`Julz and Shur-I-kan in the Basement will be our very own Chris MiMo and Dubgraffiti (Spiritso Records). We have a treat for you upstairs with Mr Shiver (Size Doesn`t Matter) and Kid Fiesta (Monster Cuts) headlining the upstairs. Prepare to get down and boogie with the finest Soul, Funk, Disco and Raregroove! Sam Cherry & Youngie, Aaron Ashley (Detail) and Tafferelli will also be spinning their stuff until the early hours of Sunday morning!
