Do Not Sleep – Opening Party at | 5th March
Having left an indelible mark on the Ibizan landscape in summer 2015, Do Not Sleep is now ready to do the same in the English capital. Starting on March 5th 2016 the edgy underground party will kick off a series of events at acclaimed South London venue Studio 338 with Darius Syrossian and Trust boss Nick Curly at the helm. After playing solo sets, the pair will play a very special and world exclusive two hour back to back showcase to mark the start of this top new residency.
Studio 338 is famed for its no expense spared approach to production, for its exclusive party brands, rare headline sets and surprise events. Over winter it is reinvesting once more, with a new double height steel and glass atrium being installed during January, thereby ensuring that it is as special and unique a proposition as ever in 2016. Another reason for this is that it also offers a rare opportunity to party in London in the open air, and hosts brands like Cocoon, Sankeys, Abode and now Do Not Sleep, so is a perfect fit.
Headliner Nick Curly is a long time tech house titan who very much dictates the modern underground landscape. He has played every club and festival worth its salt-often clicking up more than 100 gigs per year – and has fomented his own unique sound, Mannheim house, which is loopy, infectious and keeps you dancing for days. He also famously runs the Trust event series and label as well as the long running 8Bit, which he carefully A&Red and made one of the most forward thinking labels in the game.
Darius Syrossian of course, has long been a contemporary house pin-up who has a solid following around the world. He is a headline act who plays at the likes of Sonar and Wmc, was a key resident at Do Not Sleep in Ibiza with Sante and Sidney Charles and has released on Do Not Sleep’s own label, Avotre & Hot Creations Records and many more besides. He is a tough, no frills DJ who knows how to work his crowd.
