Axwell, Hardwell and Bakermat to headline Rio Music Carnival 2016. at | 5th February
The world famous Rio Carnival is just around the corner and now details of who is playing the event from February 5th to February 9th can be revealed. Brazil is now a very real force in the global dance market and that is reflected in the size of the Carnival and influence o the Carnival in 2016.
The Rio Carnival is renowned for being a sensory explosion of colour, character, costumes and dancers from around the world. It is also part of the Rio Music Conference, which runs from January 29th and boasts a quality line up of guest hosts as well as a terrific run of events in various amazing venues around the city.
As for Carnival, this year it will be headlined by many global icons but also a healthy doe of local Brazilian stars who all bring their own special sounds and flavours to proceedings. Amongst the big names are world beating EDM star Axwell, who plays on Friday 5th with the likes of Naza Broterhs, Rodrigo Vieira, Rafael Delgado and more. Saturday will see Vintage Culture and Bakermat joined by Ananda, Amanda Chang and Reezer, then Sunday 7th has Bailo Do Dennis, Valesca, MC Guime, Omulu b2b Marginal Men and Rodrigo S.
Monday 9th will see ALOK and Kolombo joined by Gabe, Dan Lypher and the Love Sessions crew as well as Fran Bortolossi. Finally, Tuesday the 9th will find Dutch Hairstyle king pin Hardwell headline a great closing show with Kill The Buzz, Raul Mendes, Jakko, Rodrigo Sha b2b Carol Legally.
There really is no experience like it in Brazil, and this year the Rio Carnival is all set to break new ground once more.
