Upstairs it’s Smoke & Mirrors spin-off Tape Modern, rewinding to the musical past at the hands of DJ D’Afro (Dirrty), with 90s/00s Classics & Retro/Pop Anthems to keep you dancing all night..
Downstairs there’s a Soul, Funk, Breaks & House mash-up party with guest DJ AKA Sweetback (Soul Partizan) & resident Instant Critical amping things up to a cool crowd who love their music.
AKA Sweetback is one of the main DJs with Soul Partizan, an East London collective who spin tunes at places like Cargo, Cirque, Kopparberg Urban Forest in Dalston and as far North as Reykjavik.
DJ Instant Critical is a veteran of the 333, in a variety of guises. By day he’s paid to be king of social media, by night he either watches wrestling, plays old console games, gets another tattoo.. or comes to 333 to DJ a well-observed and eclectic session that never fails to get people dancing.
Where most international DJs jet off to their next gig, DJ D’Afro is the only one we know who’s gone by cruise ship and DJed on the way! Back on dry land, she plays regularly for Totem Bass, Dirrty (Borderline) and Ruby Tuesday (Ku Bar), not to mention appearances at Proud, Translate & Scala and shows on Westside 86.9FM & Reel Rebel Radio.
