Jacked is back @ The Bleachworks on Saturday 24th October for our 2nd Birthday Bash with a fantastic night of the finest Disco, House and Soulful House featuring Russ Marland (Out in the Sticks), Paul Hilton (RUDE) and Jacked residents Keef and Noel.
This is a special charity even in aid of the Alzheimers Society. The event is free but you will need a ticket to attend, all we ask is that if you like, you make a voluntary donation to our chosen charity. There will be a bucket on the bar for you to make donations should you so wish.
About the DJ’s
Russ Marland was guest DJ at the Jacked 1st Birthday party in November last year. He is one of the most knowledgeable DJ’s in the north of England. He started his career in a record shop back in 1986 at Spin Inn Disc Centre Manchester and eventually opened his own shop Manchester Underground in the 90’s. He DJ’d at Angels in Burnley back in 1990 and then went on to play at Oz in Blackpool. From there he gained a residency with Mike Pickering at Shine@The Hacienda from 1991 – 1994. But it was in 1994 that he came into his own with a residency at the legendary club night Out in the Sticks in Todmorden. The night, which he also promoted, ran every Saturday for nine years until 2003. Showcasing the very best Soulful House/US Garage DJ’s from both sides of the pond this night truly deserves its iconic status Paul Hilton first started Djing at 17 (1987) as resident DJ at a ‘Disco Bar’ in Bury playing Soul, Funk, Disco and early House. He played around the country and abroad in various places, played a lot of VIP private parties and even DJ’d at The Ministry of Sound!
