We’re starting the weekend a day early, with Thirsty Thursdays: Free entry and the best chart & club hits from our own selector, JJ.
He’s a London-based DJ who got recognised on the urban scene as the weekly resident for four years on Steve Sutherland’s award-winning Galaxy FM/Global Radio show, where he entertained global superstars including Beyonce, Akon, Mariah Carey, Kanye West and 50 Cent, to just name a few. JJ also went live in the mix while household names free-styled on the microphone, including Busta Rhymes, T.I., Lupe Fiasco, Ashley Walters, Bashy, Chipmunk, Roll Deep and Tinchy Strider.
This exposure led to him being the official DJ for the Busta Rhymes concert at Manchester NEC and he was also given a slot at MTV’s Hugo Urban Rules after party. His versatility and exciting style has taken him across the UK to destinations such as Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield and international locations including Dubai and Ibiza, where he played at Pacha.
Although his time at Global Radio came to an end, JJ’s DJing commitment continued as he became the weekly resident at super club Liquid & Envy and now we’re proud to have him as our resident DJ up in the Mother Bar on Thursday nights.
