Submit with Dark Sky, Pedestrian & more at | 21st August
Submit return to the Clf / Bussey for a 2-floor takeover with Dark Sky headlining.
Floor 1 sees a 2 hour set from Dark Sky, who straight up decimated the dancefloor last time they played for Submit (Feb 2013 alongside Loefah, just after releasing their epic Breach collab ‘The Click/Fallout’). Since then their debut Album ‘Imagin’ (on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown records) and accompanying live show proved yet again their reputation as restless innovators and first rate musicians/producers.
In support we have two live sets, one from exciting House outsider The Maghreban and another from Soulful/Electronica duo Equals=, and we’re also treating you to a set from Submit secret weapon Kmoni and our resident crew.
Floor 2 sees Pedestrian headline alongside Shades Recordings. Pedestrian is a force to reckon with on the decks and his long list of releases have been moving crowds at Submit since the earliest of days. His pirate radio remix of DjRum’s ‘Mountain’s pt. 1’ has made more than a few appearances – first resonating through the Submit subs back in 2012 (when Dfrnt was warming up for Phaeleh). His productions and remixes across 2nd Drop, Born Electric & Brownswood, plus a series of collaborations with Maribou State, have maintained a consistent style and quality whilst being impossible to pigeon hole. A dedicated sound wanderer and true original voice we’re eagerly anticipating his debut Submit set.
Taking charge for the rest of the night is Shades Recordings with Fybe:One b2b Herse, Duct + Flux performing live, Saul Knight and last but not least Owen Howells flying in from Berlin with an Ambient set to open proceedings!
Expect an uncompromising signature blend of House, Garage, Techno & Bass focusing on music designed to melt your mind and move your feet.
We’re also bringing in additional sound (Martin Audio) for an enhanced sonic experience, plus the usual selection of mind-bending projections to help you completely lose yourself in the dance.
