RISE Festival returns to Les Deux Alpes December 2015 at | 12th December
The definitive winter festival that is RISE is all set to break records and make more magical musical memories in 2015. Taking place between the 11th and 19th of December, the boutique festival wholly transforms the majestical resort of Les Deux Alpes, France, into an adult playground where music and fun, games and japes, relaxation and raving all come together in carefully curated harmony.
It all goes down on the largest skiable glacier with over 220kms of skiable routes (no matter the weather) and with a jam packed programme of ground-breaking acts from the worlds of house, techno, indie dance and plenty in between: RISE Festival, then, is the first and last stop for all serious snow sport and music lovers.
Last year’s event set a proud benchmark with great snow coupled with 3,000 friendly party people and standout musical moments, live shows and club takeovers in both large, but also more intimate, settings. Highlights included EZ taking it to a new level on the open-air terrace at Le Pano Bar, 2000 metres up with panoramic views of the mountains. Clean Bandit also gave us a very special show on the town stage with the sun setting and there was a carnival atmosphere throughout the whole week with the village jumping to the sounds of Doorly, Artwork, Hannah Wants, B. Traits, Toyboy & Robin and many more.
Situated over 3000 meters above sea level, Les Deux Alpes boasts glistening white snow, crisp and clean alpine air and blue skies that will take your breath away, as well south facing views, 50 hotels and hostels, bars, restaurants, swimming pools and cinemas. During festival week the atmospheres in town are sure to be fantastic, and then there’s the Snow Globe Arena and the Ice Cube Stage, brought to you by Rise and making for a week to remember, plus Love Lifts that mean you can speed date between ski runs, a campfire around which you can toast marshmallows, a hot tub, a Yeti’s Cabin to enjoy some mulled wine or hot chocolate, woodlands in which to wander, a winter beach party in the mountains, an ice disco, a huge cinema screen, a Snowmageddon arena for full on snow-based warfare, a memory pod for photo ops, club nights in the mountains and even snow sculpture competitions and ski, snowboard and skidoo tournaments… basically the fun and adventure never stops.
The 2015 line-up will be announced in the coming weeks but you can already get excited because two mammoth club brands are in charge meaning d&b, house and bass music is firmly covered. In 2015 there will also be more arenas, more acts, extended hours, more partying and more aprés ski. As the festival falls the week before Christmas, this year RISE are adding to this vibe with a German Christmas Market and they’ll be turning on the christmas lights same as last year around the Risemas tree.
As such RISE 2015 already promises to be the best alpine festival yet, and with much more to be announced in the coming weeks and months, you’d be mad not to jump on tickets right away.
