We Concur launch all day/all night party at Oval Space | 11th July
After a sold out and frankly epic New Year’s Day party with Nina Kraviz and their Birthday celebrations with Terence Fixmer and Woo York, We Concur are back with another hugely tasteful line-up on Saturday July 11th at Oval Space. The party is an all day all night affair, running from 2pm – 6am and will see the much loved London club have its sound system full beefed up for the occasion. Putting it through its paces will be the quality likes of Michael Mayer, Extrawelt live, Robag Wruhme, Alex Niggemann, Christian Loffler Live and residents.
Oval Space has full length floor to ceiling windows, making it a great place to party in the day as you can watch the sun slowly disappear and the vibe turn a little darker as night falls. What’s more, there is also a wooden, covered outdoor terrace so that the most can be made of this rare opportunity to party in the open air in the capital. With a variety of food vendors on site to keep you partying and some extra special production in store, the venue is perfect for this event.
Michael Mayer is the Kompakt label boss known for his supreme DJ skills. Weaving together long and story telling sets of house and techno from across the ages, he is also a super producer with an enviable and often referenced back catalogue. An integral part in the way that techno has developed in recent years, his name is synonymous with the melancholic sound that has become so popular. Joining him will be label affiliate, minimal producer and deep-digging DJ, Robag Wruhme, who, whether laying down esoteric DJ mixes or producing mesmerising, warped EPs for the likes of Pampa, is always a real treat.
Next up are an act who’ve gained an almost cult status, Cocoon duo Extrawelt. Known for their much hyped specialist live sets, they will be doing their improvised, on the fly thing tonight. One of the best acts to emerge from the minimal scene in mid-2000s, it was James Holden that first recognised their talent, with the pair then going on to win many accolades in the coming years. Expect tough, hypnotic loops, trippy synth patterns and plenty more electronic excitement from them.
A man very much in the spotlight in the moment is Christian Loffler, known for his combination of both meloncholy and eurphoria in his productions. With releases on 20:20 Vision and his own imprint Ki Records, this in-demand producer will perform his much acclaimed live set. Completing this huge bill will be Poker Flat and Watergate producer and creative DJ, Alex Niggemann, who’s seen support from the likes of Tale of Us and Dixon recently.
Rounding off the bill are the staple residents and Warm Up boss Aidan Doherty, who’s rise on the London circuit over the last 2 years has been more than impressive. Rachel Lyn steps up again after two immersive sets from their first birthday, and Qash and Tom Law complete the proceedings.
