DJ Mag Sessions – Riva Starr at Ministry of Sound | 17th May
“DJ Mag is one of the longest running dance music magazines in the world and their annual Top 100 DJs list is one of the best measures of who’s hot and who’s not in the dance music world. The publication will be curating a string of events at Ministry of Sound, kicking off in May with Riva Starr.
Making his club return after a packed-out set on Boxing day last year, Riva Starr will be bringing his trademark mix of bounce, latin beat and jackin house to South London.
A Creamfields and Tomorrowland regular, Riva Starr made his name with cheeky remixes, bootlegs and re:chunks. Expect some latin flavour and bouncing madness when he steps up to the decks.
Also on the bill is arguably one of the most important techno producers of all time. Kevin Saunderson is one of the original Detroit techno pioneers.
A member of Inner City, who are responsible for the likes of “Good Life” and “Big Fun” – both among the first techno records to crossover into the mainstream charts.
Over in 103, Simon Baker, Shiba San and Louie Fresco will be joining the DJ Mag all stars.”
