DC7, since its first party at “Egg Club” on March 7th 2009, has found its success in the tested formula of BIG NAME+NEW TALENT, bringing its Neapolitan Techno roots to the London crowd and giving so birth to its ‘Events’ division.
DC7 Events is now known worldwide thanks to the quality of its line-up, which so far has featured the likes of Dubfire, Carlo Lio,Paco Osuna, Layo & Bushwacha,Joseph Capriati Alexi Delano, Technasia, Uto Karem, Jon Rundell, Umek, Riva Starr, Pirupa, Francois K, Frankie Knuckels , Reboot, Dani Casarano, Claudio Coccoluto, Shlomi Aber,Gel Abril Supernova, Monika Kruse, Nicole Moudaber, Dema,Luca Agnelli, Sian, Paride Saraceni, and many interesting more.
If music is the Universal language then Toronto Native, Carlo Lio is surely multilingual. It is this universal appeal that has allowed Carlo to speak to so many people without ever having to say a word. His ability to capture sounds and emit them so expressively is a gift. Music has always been a priority in Carlo’s life; anyone who witnesses him gracing the decks can attest to this and anyone who has heard his music on labels like Joris Voorn’s Rejected as well as Coyu’s Suara will also back that up.
Recognized as one of the main techno pioneers and influential artists of the recent time, Be As One boss Shlomi has the kind of impact usually reserved for inbound meteors, the reason for which is buried in a ground swell of genre-defying appreciation and support. A comment taken from a “Radio 1” interview provides a probable insight as to why his productions are hitting such a broad mark: “No matter if it’s hard or soft, it just needs to touch your mind, body and soul at the same time. That’s what I call a ‘Good Record”.
From the outside, it seems French producer/DJ Samuel Okain (aka Okain) is something of an overnight sensation. In reality has been making music and spinning for over 15 years. Most noteworthy stand-out productions include “717,” “Where is Monday,” “Bring Back the Cows,” “Sleepwalking,” “Corner Boys,” and his solid remix of David Pher’s, “Guitaras Sin Cuerdas” (Viva Music).
Finally, in just a short space of time since forming in late 2010, Whyt Noyz have quickly risen to the top of the techno pile with keen percussion and killer rhythms. Proof of their skills can be seen in the fact that Richie Hawtin has signed a track by the duo to his seminal Minus label.
